Martins Tavern

Happy New Year

I want to wish a Happy New Year to everyone! The whole week leading up to New Years was fantastic! For all whom celebrated New Years Eve and the count down with us, you could not have asked for a better way to roll in the New Year! Mark your calendars now for next year to celebrate with great food and a fun time at Martin’s. So now that 2010 is here, this is what you will have to look forward to in the coming months at Martin's Tavern. First, now that the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is over there is no better place than Martin’s Tavern to lift the winter doldrums. With grey days and really cold temperatures come in and enjoy the cozy atmosphere and warm yourself with some comfort food and warm drinks.

February is just around the corner and that means Valentine’s Day will be upon us before we know it. Make Martin’s your destination spot with that special someone. It has to be romantic if President Kennedy proposed to Jackie here. The next month being March will bring with it St. Patrick’s day! Another great day with special Irish foods and drinks that you won’t want to miss! I will have more details on these special days in my up coming Blogs. I will also have pictures for all to see from the holiday season. Till then take care and I look forward to seeing all of you soon!

Whenever I'm not stuffing my pockets with my ill-gotten gains in the stock market you can find me stuffing my face at Martins. Nothing better than to clip a few Ks in the a.m. and then slink on over to Martins for a pint of Guinness before I stagger home to play the reversal. Happy New Year to all!

Billy, you need an editor for your blog! Way too many spelling, usage and grammar errors.
Your restaurant, however, is without equal. I've enjoyed so many dinners, breakfasts, and
lunches there, not to mention countless evening in good company with regulars and visitors alike.
Keep up the great work!

Billy,
Hope all is well. We use to hang out a little in the eighties when I awas there for school. My Dad and your Dad were great friends. My Dad was his best man way back in the forties.
My son, Joe, is planning on attending Georegetown in the fall. I would like him to meet you and Martin's.
Best regards,
Jim

Cooking
Another good skill to pick up. Some of the better meats give bonuses like +12 to spirit for 20 minutes. Stuff like that helps in the long run.
